Privacy policy
This policy describes Dunia for iPhone and this support website. For questions or privacy requests, email privacy@dunia.online.
Information used by the app
Dunia uses the name you enter, your chosen photos and videos, captions, your invitation recipient’s Apple Account email, and technical records needed to connect the two phones and manage viewing permission. Technical records include app-generated identities and public keys, media sizes and types, timestamps, sharing permissions, and viewing requests.
Your name and connection information may be visible to the person you invite. Only invite someone you intend to share with. Dunia does not provide a public feed or a directory of people.
Where information goes
Media and private titles are encrypted on your iPhone before they are saved or sent to Apple’s CloudKit service. Shared information lives in the space owner’s private iCloud database and the invited person’s shared iCloud view. Viewing keys are released in encrypted messages when the media owner authorizes access. Each phone keeps its own private keys locally.
The developer does not operate a separate media server for the app. Apple processes iCloud account, service, and technical metadata under its own policies. Some information needed to route and manage a share, including names, public identities, sizes, types, and timestamps, is not hidden from the cloud service. See Apple’s privacy policy.
Permissions
Camera and microphone access is used when you record inside Dunia. Unsaved in-app captures are discarded when canceled or when the app leaves the foreground; the in-app camera does not save them to Photos. Importing an item from Photos leaves its original in Photos. Face ID or device authentication protects access to the local vault; Dunia does not receive your biometric templates or device passcode. Notification permission is optional and enables generic viewing-request alerts.
Advertising, analytics, and tracking
Dunia includes no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs and does not sell personal information. This support website is hosted on Cloudflare and has no analytics script, advertising, or contact form. Cloudflare and email providers may process connection and delivery information needed to serve the website and handle email.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your own items within Dunia. In Settings → Sharing controls, Block sharing stops new approvals and uploads, clears standing permissions, and hides incoming items. Disconnect this space removes this phone’s cloud records and leaves or closes the iCloud share while retaining its own encrypted local media. If cloud cleanup fails, sharing remains blocked and you can retry.
Delete Dunia data completes cloud cleanup before erasing this iPhone’s local keys and files. While connected, this requires iCloud access. If cleanup fails, local data remains available for retry. Use these controls before uninstalling: uninstalling alone does not necessarily remove cloud records. Contact support if you need help finding the controls.
Support cannot recover your private keys or decrypt your media for you. Deleting the app, losing the phone, or removing its device passcode can permanently remove access to your vault. Deletion and permission changes cannot erase originals in Photos, previously delivered copies, content already seen, or copies held elsewhere by a recipient.
Support messages and your choices
If you email support@dunia.online or privacy@dunia.online, including to report a safety concern, we receive your email address and the information you choose to provide. Reports are user-composed email messages; Dunia does not automatically attach media, captions, invitation links, encryption keys, account details, or logs. We use it to answer your request and resolve the issue, retain it as needed for that purpose and any applicable obligations, and do not use it for advertising. You can request access, correction, or deletion of information held by the developer at privacy@dunia.online. Data held in your iCloud account is also subject to Apple’s account and privacy controls.

Updates to this policy will appear here with a revised effective date.
